Janet Jackson’s documentary is almost ready to hit our screens.
The star shared a sneak preview of her documentary, ‘Janet’, which will be released in celebration of her first album’s 40th anniversary.
It features interviews with the likes of Mariah Carey, Missy Elliot, Tito Jackson, and Paula Abdul talking about the singer.
“This is what a superstar looks like,” says Missy Elliot.
“She is an empowered woman,” adds Mariah Carey.

The documentary also shows never-before-seen scenes from the star’s 40-year music career and stuff from her personal life. These include becoming a mother at a later stage in life and mourning the death of her father, Joe, and brother, Michael.
“This is my story told by me, not through someone else’s eyes,” says Jackson.
The four-hour documentary took five years to make and is set to be released in January 2022.
It will air over two nights on Lifetime and A&E.
