It should resemble the person who’s being buried
It’s no secret that there are people who have a larger than life personality and who had a wild time with those they loved while they were still alive.
One social media user spoke about how the person who’s being buried’s personality should dictate how the funeral is conducted.
“I believe that the personality of the person who has passed should be the main influence on the tone of the funeral. I personally have written out the music which I would like played and would not want for it to be a depressing affair. Far better to celebrate the life of someone we have lost, than merely to mourn their passing.”
It’s another refreshment
One social media user commented that it should be allowed the same way we allow sodas and water.
“All parties present at a funeral should understand the seriousness accompanied at a funeral. Alcohol is just another refreshment that may be offered at a funeral such as water, soda, and coffee. Drinking liquids at a funeral is fine, and alcohol is just one other beverage.
On social media there’s varying views on whether it’s appropriate to have a drink or three at a funeral.
I’m trying to understand how we went from drinking whisky at a funeral to killing 2 bottles of Hennessy. 😂
