Duduzane Zuma joined Sizwe Dhlomo on Kaya Drive this week, what ensued was a frank discussion about politics, allegations labelled against him and his political interests.
“It is unfair to make a comparison about my father and my influence on him and his role in politics. His path in politics was completely different to mine. I took a business route and my dad got stuck in with politics,” Duduzane shared with Sizwe.

His journey into the political space has not been easy and Duduzane spoke about the subsequent progression in business and the experiences that led to him wanting to unite the people of South Africa.

He doesn’t appreciate people who feel he should use his father’s name and influence as leverage to get ahead in the political space.
“There are benefits and drawbacks to being affiliated with a Head of State. Yes, there are positives, but no one knows the level of scrutiny I’ve been subjected to,” he explained.
Living in the United Arab Emirates for five years gave him a new perspective on the issues within the country and he understands the risks that his return comes with.
While he is a private person and isn’t on social media, Duduzane has taken the criticism and the love he gets.
