The damage caused by the volcanic eruption in the city of Tonga can be seen through the latest images that have been shared by the consulate of Tonga.
This follows an underwater volcano that erupted on January 15, 2022, near the island nation of Tonga.
The devastating impact of Saturday’s volcanic blast was one of the largest recorded in decades.
It erupted 30 kilometres into the air and deposited ash, gas and acid rain across a broad strip of the Pacific Ocean.

According to BBC News, Aerial images taken by the New Zealand Air Force showed how several villages have been wiped out on islands that have yet to be reached.



According to the United Nations, about 84 000 people – more than 80% of the population – have been badly affected by the disaster.
