
Inside Umkhokha star Hope Mbhele’s Umemulo ceremony
This past weekend, the actress Hope Mbhele celebrated her Umemulo in Mtwalume, KwaZulu-Natal.
Umemulo is a rite that celebrates a girl’s passage into womanhood. Some women, however, celebrate their Umemolo after they are much older and after they have given up their virginity.
Hope is well-known for playing the title character in the successful Showmax serial Umkhokha.
She was recently announced as one of the lead actors in the much anticipate Shaka iLembe, playing the character of Baleka.
She used Instagram to give followers a behind-the-scenes look to her wedding ceremony.

Minnie Dlamini also honoured Hope Mbhele with her presence, the TV celebrity was was delighted and congratulated the actress on becoming a woman after a successful Umemulo ceremony.
