Dr Mmereka Patience Martha Ntshani better known as “Dr Pashy”, claims Thabo Bester swindled her of millions, when he promised the doctor a link to US Talk Show host, Oprah Winfrey.
In an exclusive interview with Chriselda Lewis on SABC News, Dr Pashy shares that she has opened up a case of fraud against both the convicted rapist and his alleged accomplice, Dr Nandipha Magudumana.
The once close friend of Dr Pashy, made off with her passports, which was found in her possession when she was arrested alongside Bester in Tanzania in April.
Dr Pashy says she met Magudumana through social media in 2015, due to their similar interests in religion, family and business.
Their friendship started via direct messages on Instagram, and progressed to chats on WhatsApp.
Dr Pashy says, Magudumana approached her with a business proposition, with her international marketing company, which was managed by TK Nkwana.
TK Nkwana, Dr Pashy would soon come to realize was the notorious criminal mastermind, Thabo Bester.
Promises of links to Oprah Winfrey
Dr Pashy’s contact details were passed to “TK Nkwana” by Magudumana, and so ensued months of cryptic conversations, during which Dr Pashy was promised links to Oprah Winfrey.
The promise of meeting one of her role models and idols, led to Dr Pashy signing a contract with Bester and Maguduman’s company, Vibes International.
“He introduced himself to me as TK Nkwana, a South African businessman who is now living and based in London. He said he was part of the team responsible for bringing Oprah Winfrey to South Africa for the Global Citizen concert.”

This is how Bester and Magudumana swindled her of millions, as Dr Pashy was drawn to the idea of growing her business with Oprah’s influence.
The celebrity doctor says she can’t disclose how much money was paid to Bester and Magudumana, as the matter is still under investigation.
However, Dr Pashy did confirm that she has opened a criminal charge against both Bester and Magudumana.
“I trusted Dr Nandipha Magudumana, because she is a doctor and I expected her to uphold the same values as I do. I can’t disclose how much was paid at this point because the matter is still under investigation.
Police are still checking the movement of that money, which was paid to both parties over time. I’m still in consultation with the lawyers in terms of the criminal charge. I laid a criminal case and we are busy with the civil case to try to recover the funds. I can confirm that yes, it was millions.”
Dr Pashy said she never expected Dr Nandipha to betray her, as they both are in careers that’s built on trust and reputation
