South African actor Tumisho Masha’s battle with the bulge is officially on.
The former ‘Isidingo’ star says he is taking on Will Smith’s 12-week fitness challenge to ditch his dad bod.
“This body has carried me through my whole life. I’ve beaten it, drugged it, drowned it in alcohol, smoked it for 20 [years] and buried it under tons of empty calories,” Tumisho wrote on Instagram.
He says he will be honouring his body by taking better care of his health.
“It’s not in the best shape it’s ever been but I’m so grateful to it for what it’s had to put up with and still keep fighting like a soldier.
“From today I choose to honour it with better nutrition, more rest and healthy exercise. I’m taking up the #12weekchallenge with @willsmith and transforming it into a masterpiece inside and out. #bigwilliechallenge see you on the other side.”
Will Smith’s fitness challenge a hit
Will Smith announced last week that he will be shaking off all the extra weight he gained during the pandemic.
The ‘Bad Boys’ hunk shared a picture of his flabby stomach for the world to see on Instagram.
Will admits that he is in the worst shape of his life.
But he made it clear that he loved his body.
“This is the body that carried me through an entire pandemic and countless days grazing thru the pantry. I love this body, but I wanna FEEL better. No more midnight muffins…this is it! Imma get in the BEST SHAPE OF MY LIFE!!!!! Teaming up with @YouTube to get my health & wellness back on track. Hope it works!”
Tumisho Masha gets a head start
Since Will’s announcement, stars such as Anthony Anderson, Chris Spencer, and Marlon Wayans have been showing off their dad bods.
Tumisho had a head start on Will and his friends.
A few days before joining the challenge, he shared a boomerang video of himself visiting a clinic that offers Liposonix.
The treatment claims to burn stubborn fat by using ultrasound.
“This is my before picture. So I’m working out and eating better more often. Trying to shake this weight off.”
