South African comedian Trevor Noah, has been chosen to do some important work at the White House.
The host of the popular “The Daily Show” on Comedy Central, will be the featured entertainer for the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner.
The event which has in the previous year been hosted by Hasan Minhaj, Conan O’Brien, Jimmy Kimmel, Jay Lenno, Seth Meyers is an annual event that is traditionally attended by the US president and vice president.
The dinner typically takes the form of a comedy roast of the president and his administration.

It also funds scholarships for gifted students in college journalism programs.
Steve Portnoy, the president of the WHCA, said in a statement. “Trevor is an incredible talent who keeps us laughing — and thinking — four nights a week,”
“We can’t wait for him to help bring our 100-year Washington tradition ‘Back to Abnormal.’”
This year’s dinner will be the first one to take place since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.
The event will be making its returns on April 30.
