AfroRave star Toya Delazy just released new music. The album ‘AFRORAVE VOL 1’ came out over the weekend.
It consists of 11 songs, including the hit single ‘Resurrection’.
Another hit song on the album is ‘Vuka’.
Explaining the inspiration behind the song, Delazy said it is a call for young people to arise and shine.
“This song is for the African child , we are drowning and to make it out of these deep rough waters we must change ourselves first and not wait for permission to shine,” she wrote on Instagram.

“As an artist I needed to jump out that boat and carve my own path, it’s all about self-creation but you cannot create yourself if your mind and spirit are still enslaved to people’s ideologies and terms for living.
“We all must be allowed to live on our own terms so we can create beauty for this universe, living in disharmony to self is called depression, nothing is created there but low vibrations. During the 2020 lockdown we were all left fighting the waves of change until we realised instead of fighting them we need to float and use them as motivation,” she added.
The new album received recognition from music giant, Apple Music.
“That caption!!!! @applemusic thank you for seeing me and sharing the Afrorave love to the world,” she wrote on Instagram.
