The family of IFP Founding President Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi has revealed that he has tested positive for COVID-19 for the second time – he is self-isolating at home.
“We are pleased to say that, as with his first bout in August last year, he remains relatively asymptomatic & is in good spirits,” his family said.
Yesterday we spoke about this flu that everybody has been contracting, and many people mentioned testing for Covid-19.
Skhumba shares, “I’ve been tested five times in the last 12 months. If there was a point where I might have been positive, I didn’t test. I treat myself like I’m positive; I’m always taking care of myself. So maybe when I was positive, I didn’t know it.”
“How many times have you tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 12 months, and how many of those tests came back positive?” Asked Thomas and Skhumba In The Morning show.
Reactions from Kaya 959 listeners
Ntombi Katlehong said that she is on her way to test. “I’m on my way to test; I’ve tested about four times this year. Fortunately, I didn’t test positive this year,” she said.
A Kaya 959 listener said she had terrible flu around September through a voice note. “I had this terrible flu around September. When I got to the clinic, I tested positive, and they put me on ventilators. This flu is so terrible.”
Another listener said that she had only tested once. “I have only tested once, through the nose; I am blessed because I haven’t tested positive or had any symptoms,” she revealed.
