This week’s anonymous advice had big lessons for small businesses and that is – ‘How to not do things.’
We all know that entrepreneurship comes with many hurdles, and we thought we should check how you have been coping this year.
“How have things been for you as a small business owner in 2021?” Asked Thomas and Skhumba in the morning show.
Thomas was inspired by Skhumba and Tbose wearing local brands each Monday.
“There are so many dope sneaker companies in South Africa that can do with our support. It’s about us supporting our brothers,” added Skhumba.

Elisa isn’t a business owner but relates to the challenges entrepreneurs face.
“For me, I’m not an owner, but I can relate. I was working for a particular company, and when Covid hit, I got retrenched. I struggled to find things to do when I was at home.
“I’m grateful that I got recalled at work. I know that a couple of my friends are still struggling. I advise the Kaya family to check on their friends,” she said.
Moratuwa from the Vaal shares her frustrations. “It’s been a tough year. I sell food; I have two brunches. People have lost jobs, and now everyone is selling food. People will come and sell at lower prices, and it’s wrong.”
