South Africans have been waiting patiently for Kwesta to drop his latest album God Guluva and the wait is finally over.
The family man, rapper, and songwriter Senzo Brikka Vilakazi known professionally as Kwesta released his full track-list a day ago.
He joined Kgomotso Meso on Elite Nites, earlier this month for an in-depth discussion about the thought behind the album, the emotions this project invoked, and what the 5-year break since Dakar II meant for him both professionally and personally.
Kwesta shared with Kgomotso that this album is different from his other projects in that he has made it more relatable. The stories behind each track are about love, the realities of life ekasi, and family.

Kgomotso Meso had the pleasure of reviewing the album and one of her favourites is ‘Who I Am,’ because of the way it’s written.
“It’s how it’s written, it’s the type of story he’s telling. He touches on the changes that he’s gone through and a lot of it is represented with God Guluva. There’s so much meaning behind the album and the breakdown of G.O.D on the album is actually ‘Ghost Of Dakar.’ Kwesta speaks about how he needs to let go of the Kwesta who made Dakar and he had to make sure he could you a different version of himself,” Kgomotso Meso on God Guluva.
