“We call it a studio cause it’s very relaxed, people come to do classes, not formal classes, it’s more social where you learn about new dishes whether chosen by them of curated by us. We have a weekly timetable of classes that we do offer, but we do get people who want to learn dishes over and about what we teach.”
The Cooking Studio has both kiddies and adult classes, and there’s also house keeper’s classes during the week for domestic workers who need to learn how to prepare healthy meals for the kids.
“We equip them with the necessary skills so that they are able to prepare a basic meal. There’s no pressure to prepare serious cuisine. They basically prepare what kids you should have on any normal day.”
The Cooking Studio which is in Olivedale, Johannesburg, is the perfect place for a recreational hands-on cooking experiences as well as private functions.
