We all love our pap and chesa nyama, but can we be honest that it is not ideal for the summer? Most African meals can leave one heavy and full after eating.
Are there lighter alternatives one can have in the summer that taste as good?
Check out 3TSpoons on summer-friendly meals inspired by The Lazy Makoti’s book:
Rice Stuffed Fish – Pap can’t always be our staple. We need to switch it up once in a while. Have you tried out The Lazy Maokti’s rice stuffed fish? Not only is fish healthy, but it’s also light.
Avo Corn And Feta Salad – We all love our meat, however, a fresh and light salad is needed sometimes. So instead of the usual Greek/green salad how about you try something new in the Avo Corn and Feta Salad?
Unlimited Veggie Burger – The McDonald’s or KFC burger has been our go-to lunch meal for some time now, but it’s time we go for so something healthier.
Some of these restaurants do offer such burgers but why not do it yourself? Just make it overnight and carry it to work and eat during lunchtime, not only is it healthy but chances are it won’t leave you tired and sleepy.
