SANTACO has sent out a memorandum warning anyone who decides to loot shopping centres in Central City, Mabopane Square and Morula Complex that their association, Mawikta has declared war against looting and vandalism.
The association has also taken a stance against any taxi and taxi drivers under their banner involved in looting.
Taxis are not part of the ongoing protests. Any taxi found involved in the looting or transporting looters and stolen goods must be reported. Our number is 073 356 8500

Understanding that the incidents of looting around the country will have an impact on operations, the organisation has been updating commuters of daily activities and the current state of operations.

In KZN, SANTACO has decided to safeguard the malls that have not been affected by looting to ensure that no further incidents occur. Clean up operations have already begun with the association determined to help with cleaning efforts to get the country, especially KZN back in operation.
