"Bloemfontein Celtic" is back in the Premiership for next season with the Marawa Scorpions unraveling that the status of Supersport United has been bought by a young Bloemfontein businessman for an amount of R50 Million Rand!! The Club will operate as…
Bloemfontein Celtic was officially dissolved from the Premier Soccer League (PSL) in 2021 after enduring severe financial challenges.
The club’s top-flight status was sold to businesswoman Shauwn Mkhize, who relocated the team to Durban and rebranded it as Royal AM.
The move left a deep void for Celtic’s passionate and loyal supporters, who were devastated by the disappearance of a club with a proud 52-year history from both their city and the top tier of South African football.
News of the club’s return, even under a new identity, has reignited hope and excitement among fans longing to see the green and white spirit restored to its former glory.
