South African football coach Pitso Mosimane has landed a new coaching job.
This comes just days after Mosimane announced his resignation as coach of Al Ahli FC after leading the Saudi club to a first-division promotion.
“I would like to express my utmost satisfaction for having achieved the difficult task of promoting the team back to the Saudi Pro League. Within 8 months, we not only secured the promotion but also claimed the championship title in the 1st Division League,” read a statement shared by the coach.
Furthermore, he thanked his former technical team and players who played “their hearts out during his tenure as Al Ahli’s coach.”
Mosimane will now take over the reins as coach of UAE side Al Wahanda FC.
“Al Wahanda FC Company has signed with the South African Technical Director Pitso Mosimane to lead the first team as a head coach,” read a statement from Al Wahanda FC.
“The Club’s Board of Directors welcomes Mr. Mosimane to the Home of Champions, wishing him success in serving the club’s leadership, administration, and fans’ ambitions.”
