Welcome to the second installment of Cristiano Ronaldo vs Manchester United.
Cristiano Ronaldo has caused unrest at the Manchester United camp after storming off before the final whistle in Man United’s 1-0 win over Spurs.
Ronaldo was frustrated after being left on the substitute’s bench for the game.
His actions were not well met by his coach Eric ten Hag who banished him from the first team.
Latest reports suggest that the club has now fined him two weeks’ wages. He ears £515,385 per week which equates to over 10 million in rands.
Ronaldo took to social media to account for his actions and assure the fans that he hasn’t changed.
“As I’ve always done throughout my career, I try to live and play respectfully towards my colleagues, my adversaries, and my coaches. That hasn’t changed. I haven’t changed. I’m the same person and the same professional that I’ve been for the last 20 years playing elite football, and respect has always played a very important role in my decision-making process.”
In closing, he said that giving in to the pressure isn’t an option.
“Giving in to the pressure is not an option. It never was. This is Manchester United, and united we must stand. Soon we’ll be together again.”
