Pitso Mosimane remembers his late friend and former assistant coach at Superport United Thomas Madigage.
This past Wednesday marked 10 years since the tragic passing of Thomas Madigage.
Madigage died in a car crash in the early hours of Friday 19 October 2012, after hitting a donkey crossing a road in Limpopo. He was Pitso Mosimane’s assistant coach at Supersport at the time.
Responding to iamLizK‘s tweet about Madigage being “1 in a million”, Pitso Mosimane shared the same sentiments.
“We miss him so much. He gave everybody the opportunity, including myself.”

After impressing Jomo Sono, he joined Jomo Cosmos between 1987 and 1989, winning the league in his season.
He went to join the Swiss football club FC Zurich but only featured in one match due to a knee injury.
Madigage returned to Jomo Cosmos before joining Supersport United.
Following his retirement from professional soccer, Madigage worked as an assistant coach for SuperSport United from 2004 to 2012.
