The world mourns the loss of boxing icon George Edward Foreman Sr., who passed away on March 21, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.
The Foreman family released a statement announcing the death of the two-time heavyweight champion and Olympic gold medalist.
“Our hearts are broken,” the statement read in part. “With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved George Edward Foreman Sr. He was a devout preacher, a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather and great-grandfather. His life was defined by unwavering faith, humility, and purpose.”
Foreman, whose legendary career spanned decades, was not only a force in the boxing ring but also a humanitarian and a man of deep conviction.
The Foreman family expressed gratitude for the outpouring of love and prayers from fans and well-wishers worldwide.
They also requested privacy during this difficult time as they honour the extraordinary life of a man they were blessed to call their own.
