Former Proteas cricketer and coach JP Duminy (40) has announced that his marriage to his wife Sue has come to an end.
According to reports, this follows months of speculation from fans as the couple had stopped posting each other and had also unfollowed each other on social media.
“After much consideration, Sue and I have decided to part ways. We were fortunate to have shared many memorable moments together during our marriage and blessed with two beautiful daughters.
“At this time, we kindly ask for privacy as we navigate this transition. Though our paths diverge, we remain friends and our separation amicable. Thank you for your understanding and support during this time,” JP and Sue said in a joint statement posted on Instagram.
JP and Sue tied the knot in a lavish wedding ceremony in 2011 and have two daughters together.
The couple are the second high-profile sports couple to publicly announce the news of their separation.
On 22 October 2024, Springboks captain Siya Kolisi and his wife Rachel announced that they were ending their eight-year long marriage.
