It has been a tough week for the Kaya family and South Africans who have all felt the loss of our beloved Dr. Sindi van Zyl.
The good doctor will be laid to rest today with a memorial planned in her honour on Saturday.
To celebrate her life, love of fashion, and to pay tribute to Dr. Sindi, South African women are wearing dresses with pockets, which was one of Dr. Sindi’s signature looks.
The far-reaching power of Dr. Sindi and her impact on women especially transcended the airwaves as ‘the people’s doctor’ touched the hearts and lives of everyone who knew her.
The hashtag #ADressForSindi started after designer Thula Sindi mentioned that Dr. Sindi did not get to wear the dress that was created for her.
Dr. Sindi was looking forward to a fitting with Thula Sindi which she never got the chance to see out.
You never got a chance to wear it ?? packed it up yesterday & is with your family now ???.
You loved beautiful things, not just for yourself but for others as well.
