South African star Simphiwe Dana is mourning the loss of her mother.
Simphiwe took to Twitter to share the sad news about her mother’s passing.
Mamjoli, as Simphiwe calls her, passed away on Thursday.
The ‘Ndiredi’ hitmaker asked for prayers, expressing the pain they are feeling as a family.

Simphiwe celebrated her mom for not only raising her biological children, but also her adopted ones.
“Our wonderful mother, MamJoli, left us earlier today. We are wounded, but grateful for the grace with which she raised us and all her other adopted children. Please hold us in prayer, ” Dana wrote on Twitter.

She took to Instagram to share photos of her mother and wrote a heartfelt tribute.
““Ungumnqweno ndowfezekisa. Uyinkululeko magameni am. Ndokwenza njani. Xa kungenzeka. Undishiye.” Lala kahle MamJoli. Phumla Wushekazi. Mhle umsebenzi wakho,” she wrote on Instagram.
