Masks are no longer required outdoors. But, they are still required in places such as offices, malls, taxis, busses, or any other indoor space.
Social distance reduced to 1 meter with the exception of schools
Indoor and outdoor venues can now take up to 50% of their capacity. This can only be done with either proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test not older than 72 hours. If there is no way for this provision the current restriction will remain.
After tears and night vigils are still not allowed. The maximum number of people permitted at a funeral will increase from 100 to 200.
Thomas and Skhumba ask the morning show listeners if they’re happy with the new adjustments.
A social media user doesn’t see any problem with the adjustments, however, she doesn’t agree with the restriction of no after tears. She says it’s a norm that can’t be taken away.
Most listeners admit that they stopped wearing masks for some time, especially when they are outdoors.
“I stopped wearing masks outdoors in 2020. I only wear them when I’m entering the building then remove it outdoor,” shared Sphesihle.
