Do you remember your first big fight with your partner and how was it?
Was it reaffirming that you are with the right person or it showed you that many challenges lay ahead?
During ‘The Last Sip’ of the Best T in the City with Tbose, Kaya 959 listeners shared how their first big fights were.
“When you are a Christian you must always be respectful. This was in 2019, it was eight years after our marriage. When I told him how I felt he was surprised that I could speak up for myself. It helped me because as Christians we are scared of talking about what we are going through. I just needed to burst out,” shares a listener.
Boitumelo learned from fights in her previous relationship and fights in her current relationship that we shouldn’t carry past traumas into new relationships.
“I’m going to go back in between my exes. When you are in a relationship you find yourself tolerating toxic traits and eventually you have that toxic fight. Everyone warned me about that person up until I experienced it myself. When I got into my marriage, I could see how sometimes I verbally abuse my new partner. I’m now sitting and trying to introspect that I developed these traits from my past relationship. Let’s learn to leave the past in the past,” she shared.
