There are some things that just say “you are from ekasi” without even delving deep into the,. It could be the way you speak or dress.
Bear in mind these are things that you’ll find in the township.
These combinations only make sense to the people in that particular township because there are great stories behind them.
The Best T in the City with Tbose asks Kaya 959 listeners to share “#KasiCombinations, that say that you are from ko kasi without you saying a word.”
Bareki says you know that you are in the kasi if you see a plate of starch paired with starch. “Pap with that cabbage cooked with potatoes then to spice it up add Sunday’s coleslaw & potato salad.”
Vusi says that the best Kasi combo is “mixing mayonnaise, tomato sauce, and atchaar when served amaqanda.” He adds, “even today he still does that.”
