Siyavuya Mabece, a 10-year-old from the northern suburbs in Johannesburg, has written a book about the dangerous culture of bullying.
Mabece, a learner at The King’s College in Bryanston, approached her mom and share her thoughts about the dangers of bullying and suggested a book and how her voice could be heard through her writing.
That was how the book was born, when the Grade 4 pupil then decided that enough is enough when it comes to bullying.
Her book is titled Enough! Stop Bullying!

She spoke about how long it took her to put it together, and also mentioned that she knew early about bullying and was able to pick up instance when her peers tried to bully her.
The stories she’s heard on the media and the urgency of the subject became her motivation to write a book.
“I’ve never been bullied, som people have tried to bully me, and tricking me to do things, but I realised that it is bullying and that i shouldn’t be bullied, so I’ve never been bullied before.
“It actually took me 5-6 months to write this book, I started in July, and the book was done and all the fixes were fixed, that’s when it was fully done.”
Her friends and school mates only found out she was working on her book after she completed it. She says the book is not in stores at this time, but people are able to read it online at www.vuya.online .
