After the explosive revelations by Advocate Malesela Teffo in Senzo Meyiwa’s murder trial, the Kaya Drive team and listeners, weighed in.
Reacting to developments, which include the bombshell that Kelly Khumalo was the one who pulled the trigger, the team and listeners expressed their views.
Many listeners felt the manner in which the case is being handled is taking away the severity of the issue, which is ultimately that a man was shot and killed.
Not just any man, a high-profiled sportsman who was in the peak of his career at the time of his death.
Senzo Robert Meyiwa was pitted as one of the country’s biggest stars at the time. Why it’s taken 8-years for his killer/s to be brought to book is what has the country stumped.
Apart from Adv. Teffo claiming that Khumalo mistakenly shot her footballer boyfriend, the mysterious circumstances involving a second docket in the case came up.
Adv. Teffo insists the second docket includes the names of 7 people who were in the house at the time of Senzo’s murder, including Khumalo, her mother, sister, high-ranking police officers as well as former Gauteng community safety MEC, Sizakele Nkosi-Malubane.
However, forensic police officer Thabo Mosia who was on the witness stand, said he had no knowledge of a second docket.
One listener said that the lies are surfacing and there are loopholes in the story.
Another doesn’t understand why there’s been such a delay in getting Kelly Khumalo on the stand.
“Instead of wasting more time, why can’t they just get Kelly Khumalo on the stand and get this over and done with? It’s been dragging for 8-years and now they’re still interviewing police officers, instead of getting her side of the story.”
A Kaya listener’s theory is that there was a hit on Kelly Khumalo and that Senzo was simply caught in the line of fire. If Kaya Drive listeners were handling the case, they would have started with the people who were in the house first.
