Yesterday, 08 November 2021, marked the 53rd birthday of late South African singer/songwriter Robbie Malinga.
In honour of his memory, his wife Ann Malinga has launched his autobiography titled Robbie Malinga: The Legend, through the Robbie Malinga Legacy Group.
Taking to social media this morning, Ann expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to the book.
“Finally….My Baby was born last night in the most beautiful way I had imagined. I couldn’t have done it without Prayers that kept me alive and strong enough to share not only my story but Robbie’s story with you.
“I couldn’t have done it alone without the legend himself, Lesley Mofokeng, who held my hand throughout and introduced me to his world of Authors. Thank You for making my dream a beautiful reality.
“I’d like to share my Beautiful experience working with Les and all I have learned from him, from being hard-working, Humble, Polite, Patient, Calm in my approach to situations and overall in being a Beautiful warm person. Right now, I have no words But tears of GRATITUDE rolling down my cheeks. Kea Leboga Mofokeng,” she said.
Furthermore, she gave a special mention to everyone who shared their experiences with Robbie in the book.
“I’d like to thank all the contributors for sharing your experiences with Robbie and for making last night Magical for me and the children. Thank You.
“Thank You, Darren August, The_inspired_group, for Awesome work and making my dream a reality.
“Thank You to all the media houses for the Amazing Love and Support you are showing in celebrating and keeping Robbie’s legacy alive. On God,” she concluded.
The musician’s son, Robbie Malinga Jnr, could not contain his excitement.

Robbie has contributed immensely to the careers of many South African artists, including Kelly Khumalo, Arthur Mafokate, and Mzekezeke.
He passed away on 25 December 2017 after reportedly suffering from Anaemia.
