Rachel Kolisi is Woman and Home’s latest cover star, but she says she doesn’t always feel glamorous.
The 31-year-old says “life can be strange sometimes”.
“One day, you’re on a cover of a magazine that says ‘Fierce, fearless female’. And the next you can be sitting on a bathroom floor trying to put sentences together without crying,” she wrote on Instagram.
Rachel, who is married to Springbok captain Siya Kolisi, says there is a reason for everything.
“Sometimes we can be Fierce and Fearless, other times we’re not. AND THATS OKAY. The article I did in this months @womanandhome_sa unpacks this so well.”

Rachel returned to Instagram last week after a mini social media break to help South Africans in need.
She explained that she has been MIA for a few weeks because it has been a “challenging time” for her personally.
Rachel spent the past few weeks with her children and Siya’s siblings. But she rolled up her sleeves last week to assist Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal.
The Kolisi Foundation joined forces with organisations in the two provinces to assist with food relief.
“We have begun working with several non-profit organisations on the ground and are putting together a strategy to get food to people in the hardest-hit areas. We are working with a network of organisations in KZN focussing in on gender-based violence shelters, children’s homes, old age homes, hospices and assisted-living facilities,” Rachel wrote.
