Siya Kolisi has started training with the Cell C Sharks and his son Nicholas is getting in on the action.
The Springbok captain joined the Durban rugby team last month after ending his 11-year career with Western Province.
Nicholas joined his dad and his teammates during one of their training sessions.
“Had a visitor (Nic) on the last day of training for the week! Ndiyabulela @sanele_nohamba9 for teaching him a few things @sharksrugby what do you a call a babyshark? Young calf shark?” Siya captioned a picture from their training.
It’s a family affair
Siya’s wife Rachel and their children will remain in Cape Town while he settles in with the Sharks.
Rachel said they will be his number one supports from the Mother City.
“We’ll be @siya_kolisi_the_bear & @sharksrugby number 1 supporters from Cape Town for the next 10 months,” she wrote on Instagram.
The family will travel between Cape Town and Durban to support Siya.
Rachel was in Durban with both their children and Siya’s younger sister last week.
“About to become a pro at this,” she wrote.
Exciting new chapter
Siya is fully embracing his new career with the Sharks.
“This is a very exciting new chapter for me and my loved ones, and one I am embracing fully. I arrive with a commitment to give this team everything I have, and I’m thankful to the Sharks for the opportunity.
“We can’t wait to see what Durban has to offer,” he said in a statement last month.
He meant every word of it. Siya joined some of his Sharks teammates for a braai this past weekend.
“Family , friends and great music = [heart emoji],” he captioned a video on Instagram.
