Patricia de Lille, the Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure, revealed on Sunday that she tested positive for COVID-19.
The minister issued a statement in which she stated that she tested on Friday after experiencing symptoms.
De Lille has advised South Africans to maintain wearing masks appropriately following the COVID-19 regulations.

South Africa has recorded 5,451 new COVID-19 infections in the last 24 hours. A further 97 people have died due to the virus, bringing total fatalities to 56,929.
