A seasoned radio broadcaster and social activist, Criselda Kananda, has been hospitalized with COVID-19-related pneumonia. She disclosed on her Twitter account on the 4 June that she had “survived COVID-19 pneumonia.”
Dr Criselda Kananda, a doctor of philosophy in social work who has been living with HIV for the past 22 years, has been admitted to the Netcare Sunninghill Hospital’s acute care unit in Sandton.
She thanked her medical aid scheme Sizwe Medical Aid fund and the Netcare Sunninghill nursing staff.
