The case of a Pretoria mother charged with the murder of her two children has been postponed to June 14.
She appeared before the Atteridgeville Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
It emerged two months ago that her two children were found burnt beyond recognition at an abandoned building in the area.
The group, ‘Not in My Name’, attended the court proceedings in support of the family.
Secretary-General of the organization, Themba Masango, says what’s painful is that the children have not yet been buried because the autopsy report has not been concluded.
“It’s now almost two months. You will recall the children passed away in February.
“We were there with the family, and we provided support. We are proving food and health services to them,” he says.

Gruesome discovery
The children’s bodies were discovered after residents became suspicious. A person wearing dark clothes was reportedly seen going in and out of the abandoned building.
They then made the gruesome discovery
Residents had no idea who the victims were as the children were unrecognizable due to the condition of their bodies.
Two days later police officers received information that the victims were siblings.
The children’s 25-year-old mother was then arrested at a shopping centre in Atteridgeville.
