The President shared his immunization at Khayelitsha hospital in Cape Town, with South Africans on Twitter.

Ramaphosa urges South Africans to make use of the online portal government has set up to track the inoculation roll process.

South Africans need to register on the e-portal to ensure a streamlined process.
The country secured 80 000 doses of the Johnson and Johnson vaccines after ruling out the use of AstraZeneca.
The minister confirmed government ordered an additional 500 000 doses of the vaccine.

Gauteng Premiere David Makhura does not want another corruption scandal to mare the roll out of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Makhura was at the Baragwanath Hospital in Soweto where government has kicked off the monumental task to reach herd immunity against the virus by year end.
“I will wait in the queue like the rest of South Africa who will get the vaccine after healthcare workers,” said Makhura.

Gauteng Health MEC Dr Nomathemba Mokgethi was the first healthcare worker to receive the jab in the province.
16 000 health workers will be vaccinated with the Johnson and Johnson over the next 2 weeks.
