Most parents only learned about money when they started working, most don’t even know how to negotiate for a better deal. They take what is given because no one taught them how to do it.
Paying your kids can easily prepare them for adult life and about responsibility.
Most parents are likely to say no to paying their kids for good marks or for doing chores around the house, because that’s what they are supposed to do.
However, in paying our kids for good marks or for completing chores, we are teaching them that earning that 80% or completing their chores results in a reward, the way it does for us as adults.
Ashley Maluleke, whom we introduced last week, is a fan of The Best T in the City.
He works as a taxi driver in Ivory Park, Ebony Park and Kaalfontein and each day, he engages his passengers on they day’s Best T in The City topic.
