Poet and gender-based violence activist Ntsiki Mazwai started a Twitter war when she chose to once again not mince her words. This time the enemy was alcohol and black boozing culture as Ntsiki went on a rant about alcohol having a very deliberate negative effect on people.
This sparked outrage on Twitter after several people clapped back at the poet for her lack of merit in making comparisons amongst different racial groups and their relationship with alcohol.
Ntsiki who has previously lambasted South African celebrities who own alcohol brands, got into the heated Twitter debate with followers for asking South Africans to “wake up.”
“Yes….. I do look down on boozing culture. It’s taking us backwards… And it’s deliberate. Wake up”

She went on further that black people turn the consumption of alcohol into a status symbol.
“All races booze but only blacks make it a status symbol. Wake up,” said Ntsiki.
When a follower responded that if an influencer from another race group were advocating for alcohol it would be okay, Ntsiki hit back yet again.
She brazenly tweeted that unlike other races black people don’t hold themselves highly, “We are the clowns in the circus,” she ended.
The point of that tweet is that blacks don’t hold themselves highly like other races…. We are the clowns in the circus
