Zandile Mafe’s court hearing regarding an alleged arsonist of the Parliament has been postponed.
Mafe is expected was expected to show up for a pre-trial hearing on Friday, 12 August at the Western Cape High Court.
Mafe was reportedly laying on the holding cell floor when a police officer reported him to the court for refusing to appear at the dock.
According to reports, his lawyer Luvuyo Godla indicated that he did not anticipate how things would play out and he told the court that Zandile Mafe was not well.

Godla added that Mafe has been on a hunger strike for some time.
He is accused of burglary, arson, terrorism, and theft, among other offences.
In January, Mafe is accused of starting a fire in the National Assembly chamber of Parliament, which caused the Old Assembly building to burn to the ground.
Mafe’s court appearance has been postponed to September.
