The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued a warning of more severe thunder and hail storms for Gauteng on Tuesday, 06 December.
This after the province was hit by a disastrous storm on Monday, which caused damage to infrastructure, cars, roads, and uprooted trees.
Dangerous hailstones that were the size of golf balls fell across most of the northen parts of Gauteng on Monday, battering low-lying areas and causing flash floods in the process.
Responding to a concerned citizen on Twitter, the SAWS confirmed a severe thunderstorm is expected to hit Gauteng again on Tuesday with a big possibility of hail.

Warnings of dangerous flash floods, heavy rain and more thunder and hail have also been issued for parts of KwaZulu-Natal.
The unusual weather pattern is expected to continue for the rest of the week, with Joburg Emergency Services on high alert in case of emergencies.
City Power has also issued a statement following Monday’s storms saying that many areas were affected with outages due to infrastructure damages.
