One of the victims of the Klerksdorp assault has been admitted to hospital after he was reportedly left with severe brain damage.
This after a video of the assault, which took place in the parking lot of a shopping centre in Doringkruin, Klerksdorp in the North West, went viral on social media.
In the video, a white man in a black T-shirt can be seen assaulting a man who was left unconscious and bleeding from the head and face.
The man who was responsible for the attack, then tried to shake his victim when he noticed that the man was unresponsive.
It was then that a group of people had gathered, and attempted to diffuse the situation, but another man was also punched in the face, and knocked unconscious by the same man in the black T-shirt.
The incident took place on Sunday, 03 September, and police are investigating a case of attempted murder.
A 33-year old man has since been arrested for the assault which left both men laying in a pool of blood.
