The body of a man swept away in Diepsloot river has been found.
The body of a 37-year-old man was found in Lanseria, and Johannesburg Emergency Services (EMS) has connected it to the guy who was washed away in a river near Diepsloot.
Last week, torrential rains produced flooding in Gauteng and other provinces, and the man was washed away by roaring floods in the south of Johannesburg.

In order to give the man’s family closure, EMS spokesperson Xolile Khumalo stated they increased their search along the river.
“Through perseverance, diligence, dedication and hard work, the EMS aquatic team, together with the Joburg Water Police, have been able to recover the body of a 37-year-old male.”
“The body was recovered in Monaghan Farm in the Lens area.” said Khumalo.
