AKA’s mother, Lynn Forbes has made it clear that there’s only room for love in her family and squashed any social media scandals of a feud between DJ Zinhle and Nadia Nakai.
Speaking at the memorial for her slain rapper son, Lynn said that while she only birthed two sons, she’s gained three daughters in her son’s partners.
The mother of both Kiernan ‘AKA’ and Steffan shared that there will always be space in her family for DJ Zinhle, the mother of her only grandchild, and Nadia Nakai, AKA’s last girlfriend before he passed.
Lynn Forbes said that all the negativity around her family on social media meant nothing because “it’s all love” between them.
Forbes addressed both her son’s partners in her tribute to AKA, who was shot execution-style on 10 February in Durban.
“Brittany, Nadia and Zinhle, you are my daughters. And to the both of you, although Kiernan is not around anymore, you are always welcome and you will always be my daughters.
I don’t care anybody says on social media about you, they don’t matter.”

Lynn was referring to all the social media trash talk about there being “hate” between DJ Zinhle and Nadia Nakai because of AKA.
However, both women were hugging each other and celebrating the man they both shared a bond with.
Zinhle and AKA’s 7-year old daughter, Kairo even comforted Nadia who was overcome with emotion.
Lynn said if there’s one thing about her family, it’s that they are supportive and show love. She thanked the Megacy, AKA’s fan-base for their continuous support of her multi-award winning artist son over the past two decades.
The heartbroken mother, said the callous and calculated manner in the way her son was taken from her shattered her to a million pieces.
She takes comfort in the fact that Kiernan Forbes touched the lives of so many through his music, life and legacy.
