Heartfelt condolences are pouring in for media personality Thami Ngubeni and her family following the recent passing of her beloved father, Bruce Ezekiel Ngubeni.
Ngubeni, a well-known news anchor, producer, actress, author, and former editor of The Oprah Magazine in South Africa, shared the sombre news on her social media platforms.
In a tribute, she expressed her profound grief and reflected on the deep impact her father had on her life.
“This week my Beloved Daddy, Bruce Ezekiel Ngubeni transitioned into glory. The Giant Tree has fallen,” Ngubeni wrote.
“This is the seed that sprouted into Mathamsanqa Ngubeni. Principled, Strict yet Loving…I wasn’t ready to say goodbye 💔.”
She further shared the personal connection she had with her father, highlighting his unwavering support:
“This man ‘saw’ me, affirmed & loved me. He wasn’t always there, but when I needed him the most he WAS. I love you forever Daddy. Lala ngoxolo Ngubeni, Nkomo, Mntungwa Luvuno, Mpembe Mazothe bahle abantwana beNkosi abambhatha ingubo yeThusi ngoba eyoMsingizana iyadabuka. Dlomo 🙌🏾✝️.”
Ngubeni concluded her tribute with a scripture from Romans 14:8 (NIV): “If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.”
