Brazillian football legend Pele has passed away at the age of 82.
His agent confirmed his passing on Thursday evening.
Pele had been admitted to Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo on November 29, 2022, up until his last breath.
The 82-year-old had been receiving treatment for respiratory infection at the Sao Paulo hospital and was also undergoing treatment for colon cancer.
Pele is considered by many as the greatest footballer of all time.
In his illustrious career spanning over two decades, Pele managed to score over 1,279 goals in 1,363 games, including friendlies.
