Ramaphosa says DD Mabuza’s resignation request is being attended to.
Deputy President David Mabuza has expressed a desire to resign from his position, and local Cyril Ramaphosa has expressed his gratitude and admiration for him.
Since February 2018, Mabuza has served as South Africa’s deputy president.
He emphasized how the Deputy President, among other things, has spearheaded initiatives for land reform and supported peace-building efforts in South Sudan.

The President praised Mabuza for his skillful management of the South African National AIDS Council and his extensive interactions with traditional leaders and veterans.
President Ramaphosa responded to the State of the Nation Address Debate on Thursday by stating that he is addressing the Deputy President’s request.
“I wish to extend my appreciation to Deputy President David Mabuza for his unwavering support over the last five years. Deputy President Mabuza has indicated his wish to step down from his position, a request that we are attending to.”
