Police officer from Limpopo arrested for insurance murders.
Captain Keshi Mabunda conducted a thorough investigation and ultimately detained the on-duty sergeant after receiving complaints that she was fraudulently receiving benefits from funeral, accidental, and life insurance policies from multiple banks and insurance providers.
Based on investigative findings, her murderous rampage began in 2019. She knew her victims; some were mentally challenged or crippled, and they came from impoverished and poor homes.
On their behalf, she would purchase a life insurance policy and burial benefits, of which she would get payment.
There are presently six killings connected to her, and the evidence suggests she has at least R10 million in her pocket. After months of research, the team conducting the inquiry was able to secure an arrest warrant. She was apprehended at the police station, where the warrant was executed.
General Fannie Masemola, the Commissioner of National Police, has hailed the arrest of a 43-year-old sergeant.
