A pest treatment company The Pest Informer in the US is offering R34 000 to homeowners who will allow them to release 100 American cockroaches into their houses.
Following that, the organization will put a specific pest control strategy to the test to see how effective it is.
Participants who want to sell their homes must be the owners or have written permission from the homeowners.

The company wrote on their website: ” We are currently hiring 5-7 household owners to allow us to release ~100 American cockroaches into your home, and give us permission to film, and test out a specific cockroach treatment.”
Participants must also be 21 years old or older, own the home, or have written permission from the homeowner, and live in the continental United States.
All cockroach treatments will be safe for family and pets, according to the business, however, homeowners will be prohibited from using further insect treatments for the period of the trial.
If the roaches persist, the company claims it will cure them with standard methods at no cost to the homeowner.
