The Motion of No Confidence against President Cyril Ramaphosa and his cabinet will go ahead on Wednesday, 30 March as planned.
Despite calls for the motion to be postponed by the African Transformation Movement (ATM).
Speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula on Tuesday acceded to a request by the leader of the official opposition, John Steenhuisen.
This means that ministers will vote when they are called upon and voting will not be done in secret.
Tomorrow we have a showdown in Parliament, we debate and vote on a Motion of No Confidence against Cyril Ramaphosa’s entire Cabinet of crooks and freeloaders.

South Africa cannot get rid of poverty with a Poverty Cabinet!
The DA is calling for a vote against Ramaphosa’s entire cabinet, all of whom the party label “crooks and freeloaders”.
Earlier this week, the DA led an exposé on cabinet ministers and deputy ministers who broke the bank on purchases of luxury vehicles.
The excessive spending took place between 2019 and 2021, during one of the toughest times endured by the country, with the poorest of the poor without basic necessities.
Ministers and former Ministers, including Fikile Mbalula, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, Pravin Gordhan, Tito Mboweni, Maite Nkoane-Mashabane, Joe Phaahla, Mmamoloko Kubayi-Ngubane and Khumbudzo Ndaveni, all bought themselves flashy new wheels as poverty, hunger and hardship exploded all around them.

Needing a majority vote from all present, this means the DA will require a 50% + 1 quota to win. Which means if all 400 elected members of parliament vote, the DA will require 201 votes in order for the vote of no confidence to stand.
The ANC holds the most seats in parliament at 230, and in order for the DA to win its motion, John Steenhuisen and other opposition parties will require 31 votes from ANC members.
