A 10-year old missing Centurion boy was found unharmed in Randburg on Tuesday, 08 November after going missing on Sunday.
Omphile Chauke was last seen outside his Randjesfontein Estate walking to the nearby Spar.
His family are relieved the boy was found safe and unharmed but an investigation is underway.
According to police the child was found at the Randburg Magistrates Court, after his mother pleaded for her son’s safe return.
His mother, Lesego begged whoever took her son to bring him back home, “It’s pouring rain and he’s not warmly dressed.”
Lesego said her son did not inform anyone that he was leaving their estate and was outside playing.
The estate’s footage showed the boy leaving the grounds at around 16h30 on Sunday but when he was not back, a frantic search for the boy began.
Omphile’s mother said there’s a lot of construction taking place around their estate and they checked ditches and sinkholes to see if he had fallen inside.
Just in: Omphile Chauke has been located by the @SAPoliceService Anti Kidnapping Task Team. He was found at the Randburg Magistrates Court and is safe. Investigations are on-going. Well done @SAPoliceService https://t.co/NYtk9tQ5Tr
