The community of Olievenhoutbosch in Centurion has been left devastated and traumatised following a tragic tavern shooting that claimed five lives and left several others injured.
Gauteng Police Spokesperson, Mavela Masondo, says a manhunt is underway for 10 suspects who arrived at the tavern on Friday evening and began shooting.
It is reported that the suspects came into the tavern and started shooting randomly, without saying anything.
He appealed to anyone who may have information that could assist with the investigation of this horrific incident.
Meanwhile, Kaya News has reported that crime wardens asked the media to vacate the area where the shootout occurred, warning that it was unsafe.
A woman who encountered the gunmen told Kaya News the suspects robbed her of her bank card after searching her during the chaos.
The motive for the brutal attack remains unknown. Police have opened cases of murder and attempted murder as the investigation continues.
